This is a replica of the arm control unit on the spacesuits from 2001: A Space Odyssey. I modeled and printed the it in four pieces: the IBM button, the top and bottom rows of buttons, and the chassis. The two metallic buttons are covered in aluminum tape and then sanded for a brushed look. The lettering for the rows of buttons was printed onto waterslide decals. The IBM button has dry transfer lettering [which I’m not happy with – looking for a closer set of letters].
Keen eyes will notice a suit control unit from The Expanse behind it. This was modeled and printed, along with some printed paper labels, some time ago but never posted here.
